Local Liberal Democrats are calling on the Conservative-run County Council to fix our roads and pavements. The County Council has paid out over half a million pounds compensating motorists for damage caused by potholes since 2012. And Lib Dem County Councillors have revealed that at the current rate of repair it would take 123 years to resurface Hampshire's pavements. Local Lib Dem campaigner Leola Card said, "The Lib Dem team have been out in the North Farnborough area and have reported many potholes to Hampshire County Council for repair. In many areas of Farnborough the roads are becoming increasingly busy with heavy traffic. Maintenance of these roads should be a high priority."
We have recently had a spate of graffiti in our area. The local Lib Dem team have reported this to the local council for the clean-up team to remove. Whilst it's not a big problem for our area your local Lib Dems are monitoring this.
As we are all aware major works have been taking place along our sections of the M3. The hard shoulder is being made into a fourth lane. Whilst the Highways agency has been keeping those residents who live close to the M3 informed of the various stages of work it has disrupted many journeys for local residents.
Many of us endure the discomfort and frustration of overcrowded commuter trains into London.
