Empress Liberal Democrats reported concerns over the water company doing a test of thousands of gallons of water pouring out into Pierrefondes Avenue on Thursday. The road was slippery and there seemed to be no action being taken by the workers to prevent ice covering the road. This was reported and we are told action was taken by Hampshire county council and in future permits for this work will ensure gritting is undertaken.

Lib Dems have been watching what has been happening along Park and Queens Roads with the traffic diversions. The problem does not seem to be getting any better. The introduction of the diversion into North Camp Shops has taken place at the worst time of year for retailers. Southwood Country Park Opening Councillor Craig Card visiting on opening day to view the new building at the Southwood Country Park. Checking out the wheelchair access to the building and outside cafe area. Both were very wheelchair friendly apart from the doors. The first stage sees the playground and the outdoor cafe cabin open. Also a small crafts fair was taking place. We await the completion of the rest of the building to be opened sometime in the not-too-distant future. Well worth a visit.
