Rushmoor’s Conservative Run Council asks Government for £20 million to build PROMISED Leisure Centre

Rushmoor Borough council has admitted that along with delays to the project of replacing our towns leisure
centre which have included extra work due to asbestos found. Delays could also be caused by finance issues.

Part of the statement from Rushmoor says '…the financial climate has changed since our plans for the civic quarter were first developed and we are now having to look at the provision of new leisure facilities alongside funding available for other key services."
Rushmoor has applied for £20 million in funding from the Government Levelling up fund. As we write planning decisions have been delayed.

Leola Card says "This is a real blow for local people it is likely that the wait will be even longer for a new much
