Hampshire Rubbish Tip Update

Craig Card reports that the Conservative led Hampshire Council has withdrawn proposals to reduce the number of Refuse Waste Sites and to restrict their use. Residents across Hampshire took part in the Lib Dem survey on these proposed closures, here is a summary of the results :-

Strongly support: 31%
Support: 17.6%
Oppose: 11.6%
Strongly Oppose: 17.8%
Site closure:
Strongly Oppose: 88.5%
Part time hours:
Strongly Oppose: 46.9%
Oppose: 35.6%
Charging £1 per visit:
Strongly Oppose: 56.7%
Oppose: 21.6%
Charging £7 per visit:
Strongly Oppose: 89.6%
